I love my semantics class and the professor is great. This book is so dry and hard to read I fall asleep after a segment. The definitions of terms aren't clear and the explanations of the definitions aren't clear. The examples aren't decipherable. It makes me crazy that I am required to buy this book. It was written by a linguistic researcher for linguistic researchers, not for undergrads with strong vocabularies who want to take an interesting class.

Densest reading I've ever come across. Extremely tedious and arcane language. The author does not have a knack for illustrating the concepts in any interesting or meaningful fashion.
